Med Supper Club

Transforming a sophisticated Ottawa venue into an immersive Mediterranean supper club is about creating a true sense of escape. For MED, the vision was to transport guests from the city into a seductive world inspired by the warmth, romance and effortless elegance of the Mediterranean.

BdB approached the interior as a complete hospitality experience, balancing the intimacy of an elevated restaurant with the energy of a contemporary supper club. Layered architectural elements, sculptural forms, rich textures and dramatic lighting create a space that evolves throughout the evening, from refined dining destination to vibrant late-night social setting.

The design draws from the Mediterranean without relying on the expected. Warm plaster, natural stone, sophisticated millwork, aged metallic accents and tactile fabrics create a rich material palette, complemented by custom banquettes, statement lighting and distinctive architectural details.

At the heart of MED is the interplay of light, texture and atmosphere. Concealed illumination washes across architectural surfaces, while decorative fixtures create intimate pools of light. The bar serves as a glowing focal point, with integrated entertainment elements allowing the space to transition effortlessly as the evening progresses.

From dramatic architectural gestures and immersive lighting to custom furniture, fabrics and finishes, every detail has been thoughtfully considered to create one cohesive hospitality experience.
